He served two five-year terms on the Governing Authority of University College Dublin - and chaired its Finance Committee - before stepping down. Ron is a former member of the Irish Government’s Asia Strategy Group and the Irish Prime Minister’s committee on the International Financial Services Centre (“IFSC”), Dublin. He is the former Vice-Chairman of AerCap and was the Chairman of the Audit Committee of AerCap NV for its IPO on the New York Stock Exchange. Ron is a former Managing Partner of KPMG in Ireland, was Head of the Asia Pacific Practice and a member of KPMG’s Europe and International Boards, and has also served as Chairman of the Irish State Telecommunications Company (Telecom Eireann). Ron is Country Advisor to Cerberus Capital Partners LLC.
He is currently Chairman or Vice Chairman of a number of companies including the Galway Clinic (private hospital) and ABP Food Group. He provides corporate governance and board expertise to the management team, and his broad international contact base enhances the business’ effectiveness in carrying out its strategies and creating value on behalf of its investors.Ĭurrently Principal of Ely Capital, Ron has served on the boards of publicly quoted companies on the Dublin, London and New York Stock Exchanges.
